The split barge
BLACK DEEP shelter's in Wicklow bay as bad weather swept over the
East Coast , later the same day she moored overnight at the East
pier, the weather improved the next morning and she resumed her
passage South.

TRADER motor's north past Wicklow Head
Built 1992 at Rosslauer Shipyard Elbe as the Lass Mars

An Air Corp 'CASA' maritime patrol aircraft
transit's north over Wicklow head , the building on the hill now
houses various electronic equipment , during the Second World War
or 'The Emergency 'as it was known in Ireland , was manned by coast watchers
monitoring maritime and military activity in the bay,
a book has recently been published telling the story of the Coast
watchers and the work they carried out in remote posts scattered
around the Coast.
