countries far from home and family who are passing Wicklow in
ships , to our fishermen , the Navel service , the Air Corp and

East pier was transformed for filming by the props department ,
the lights are a nice touch , there was a lot of gunfire and
plenty of action , l look forward to seeing the movie and the

helicopter heads South along the Wicklow Coast on a Sunny Monday
morning , later that evening a PC-9 aircraft on excercise in
Connemara crashed , sadly with the loss of two pilot's.
Condolences to the crews families.

Lifeboat Station Open day

The Open day
attracted a large crowd , with displays by the fire , Ambulance
Services ,Garda Water Unit , Wicklow Sub Aqua Club and the Air
Corp , the highlight was the rededication Service for RNLB ANNIE
BLAKER to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of her arrival , many
of the former crew were present for the ceremony.

HEBBLE SAND

The dredger HEBBLE
SAND at anchor in Wicklow bay , she arrived from the South and
went to anchor on Sunday afternoon , she left the bay a few days
later to work at Greystones harbour.

The converted
fifty footer trawler ROS AILITHER at Wicklow harbour , click here
for details of this much travelled vessel. Wicklow harbour has 2
fifty footers , one is lying at the Turnhole and the
'Yellow Peril ' is at the North Quay , so someone might
buy these vessels and rebuild to the same standard as ROS
AILITHER.

TRAMONTANE


TRAMONTANE arrives
for a overnight stop at the Packet pier , she was working with
the 2 tug's and the platform ODIN at the Arklow Wind farm. Built
in 1972 at Dunkirk as the MARSEILLAIS , in 1989 she took her
present name, now under the Red Ensign and operated by a
Company in Waterford. She sailed early the next morning heading
South for the Windfarm.

The German STV
LOVIS arrives at Wicklow Harbour , she was built in 1897 as a
steam Pilot vessel for work in the Baltic , about 10 years ago
she was converted into a sailing ship.
