Bray Airshow
2008
A free public air
display will take place on Sunday July 27th at 3pm on the
spectacular Bray Seafront. This Family day has something for all
the family from a funfair, Static Display and Parachuting,
Aerobatics, Search and Rescue demonstration etc.

The 2007 show was
originally planned for the August bank holiday Sunday but due to
the adverse weather conditions being experienced across the
country it was postponed to Sunday 2nd September
2007

Corp Pilatus PC9M aircraft arrive along the display line

The Air Corps
currently operates eight Pilatus PC9M aircraft. These aircraft
first entered service in 2004 and operate as the main pilot
training aircraft for the Air Corps.

The other 3 aircraft broke away and
we were were
treated to a solo display by '267'

Air Corp Casa CN
235 '253' arrives

The Air Corps
currently operates two Casa CN 235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
These aircraft entered service in 1994 and operate seven days a
week usually in the off shore maritime patrol arena.
The CASA is used
for various roles such as Maritime patrolling, air ambulance,
military transport, Search and Rescue top cover and Parachuting
operations

RNLI Relief fleet
Trent RNLB WINDSOR RUNNER (14-06) , Dun Laoghaire's
lifeboat RNLB ANNA LIVIA was off station for overhaul.
The Airshow ended with a brilliant display by
the Alouette III , the Black Knights were to finish the display
with another parachute jump , but was cancelled due to
unfavourable conditions , this was the last public display of
the Alouette III , so the following photos are a tribute to my
favourite helicopter...
An so the Alouette III bows out and returns to
Baldonnel .. the end of a era lasting over 43 years !
The Bray Airshow
is another free Airshow , thanks to the organisers for a
memorable afternoon and look forward to the 2008 show.
